Employment assistance for people with BPD in Manitoba
As we become aware of programs and organizations that help people with mental illness and mental disorders find jobs in Manitoba with supportive employers, we will add them to this page.
Several organizations in Manitoba provide training and employment assistance with things like resume creation, interview skills, and job searches for people with disabilities.
Most of those focus on people with physical disabilities or intellectual developmental disabilities, but some also help people with diagnosed mental illness or psychiatric disabilities.
The Employability Assistance for People with Disabilities program of the Province of Manitoba offers a wide range of employment-focused services to assist adults with disabilities in preparing for, obtaining and maintaining employment. Manitoba Possible (formerly Society For Manitobans With Disabilities) offers an employment preparation centre for training and help finding and maintaining employment.
YES WORKABILITY PROJECT assists employers in creating inclusive and accessible workplaces for persons who self-identify with mental health disabilities. They hosted a Manitoba virtual job fair on February 8, 2024.
